It’s that time of the year where we talk about import ant things, like fire safety. We aren’t just intending this announcement to go to attendees with Samsung phones, either, so please read on!
Each room at the Kalahari has a limit to the number of occupants and, according to the fire marshal, this isn’t merely a suggestion. So, in order to help us get your <session I’m super excited about and will die if I’m not able to see> session in the right room, we’d like to ask for your help in voting for the sessions you think you are most likely to attend. This is not a firm commitment, nor will we compare your votes at the door, but will definitely help us in planning.
Please head on over to https://speakers.codemash.org/ and cast your vote. We need to get the schedule finalized in the next few weeks, so the voting window will be open through 11/25 after which any subsequent votes will be recycled into new bits (being green and all).
This will also help us decide which sessions we should record. Wait?!? What?!? Yes, we will have video producers on site, and will attempt a cheap and easy way to record the top sessions (with the speakers permission). This will be screen and audio only, no video cameras. The number of sessions we record will be limited, and driven primarily by interest in this vote (although other factors, like time viscosity ratios, will be considered).
Remember, vote early, vote often!
