Our tech world is diverse, and we want to represent that diversity at CodeMash in a better way each year. We are specifically seeking underrepresented speakers and technology. In order to attract and retain a more diverse speaker collective, we are offering a few new items:
- Maybe you would have trouble getting to CodeMash, but you have a great talk? Speakers can apply for a $500 travel grant. Including limo rides from the Cleveland airport and back.
- We have opened a mentorship program. Need help crafting an abstract for CodeMash? Or in polishing your content after you are selected? We can connect you will someone to help.
- We have crafted a new-to-CodeMash track, for new and experienced speakers for first time CodeMash speakers.
If you know of someone that you think has a great talk, and would be a great speaker, please forward this to them and encourage them to submit a talk. It is painless, we promise. Especially after we dropped the root canal simulation requirement.
