CodeMash is coming up soon, and we’re starting to have to make decisions based on budget restraints. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to cut the shuttle that goes between hotels and Kalahari for this year.
Recently, our conference committee president sent out this tweet: “CodeMash 2023 is only a few weeks away. Get your tickets while you have time. We could really use your support after the impacts of Covid and inflation. Please spread the word. codemash.org/buytickets ” We are loving the support being shown via Twitter for us and hope that it keeps up! We don’t like having to make cuts.
Fortunately, some of our partner hotels have extended the deadline for reserving hotel rooms in our room blocks and have reduced the room rates! Tru, Hampton Milan, La Quinta, and Country Inn have extended the room block reservation window to closing on January 8. Tru Sandusky’s room block rate has dropped from $119 per night to $89 per night (Tue., Wed., and Thu. nights); Country Inn Sandusky South’s room block rate has dropped from $99 per night to $79 per night (Tue., Wed., and Thu. nights); La Quinta Sandusky’s room block rates have dropped from $84/$99 to $75/$85; and Hampton Milan’s room block rates have dropped from $139/$145/$149 to $99/$109/$119. These four hotels will honor the lower rates for those who have already booked a room within our room blocks and will apply the lower rates to those already-booked room-block rooms.
