CodeMash is once again happy to announce there will be tours available of the Armstrong Test Facility (ATF, formerly Plum Brook Station) this year! This year the tour time is being extended to allow time to see at least 2 of the complexes!
Tickets are free to CodeMash attendees and their families, and 1 tour of 25 attendees and family members will take place each day, Tuesday through Thursday, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The actual tour is from 10:00am to noon but we will need additional time to get everyone loaded, transported, and through the security checkpoint. Check in at the bus loading point is at 9:15am, since the bus should be loaded at 9:30am. These free tickets go on sale Monday, November 6, at 12:01am eastern. The sales window for these tickets ends November 17 at 5pm eastern.
Information which will be gathered during the ticketing process:
First Name
Last Name
Adult/Youth (If youth, name of accompanying guardian)
US Citizen (Y/N) or Permanent Resident Alien (Y/N)
Email (for communicating any changes)
You will need to be able to provide some form of government-issued identification (preferably a valid drivers license) to get into the facility or, for our younger attendees, be accompanied by an adult with one. Additionally, you must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident Alien status. We will provide a list of those wishing to attend the tour to the facility which will be used to verify before entering so please make sure all of your information is correct! Adult registration names must exactly match government-issued ID. For example, if you have a middle name or initial on the ID, then we need that middle name or initial included when you register for your NASA ticket. Driver’s licenses/IDs must be current as of the day of the tour./Expired IDs are not accepted and will result in giving up your seat for the tour (and any children if no other adult is going).
The tour takes place indoors and out so be prepared for the weather! Due to the nature of the tour, those participating must be old-enough/able-enough to move themselves through the tour without use of stroller or wheelchair.
And finally, these tours may be cancelled due to weather or mission-critical activities taking place. We don’t want to disappoint anyone but please be understanding if your tour is cancelled. We will not be able to reschedule.
