CodeMash is dedicated to providing a welcoming, harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or tabs vs spaces preference. We do not tolerate harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of conference participants in any form. Sexual or discriminatory language and imagery is not appropriate for any CodeMash venue.  Clothing is not consent.

Everyone associated with CodeMash including attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, staff, family members, and volunteers are required to follow the Code of Conduct. This code provides general guidelines and cannot cover every possible type of unacceptable behavior. CodeMash reserves the right to apply corrective action to instances other than the specific examples noted.

Harassment includes discrimination, offensive verbal comments, offensive or sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and targeting individuals in a manner that makes them feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or afraid. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the conference with no refund and referral to the relevant authorities. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or are made to feel uncomfortable by the behavior of others, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff will be happy to intervene, help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe and respected for the duration of the conference.

We value your attendance and are committed to creating safe spaces.

We require participants to follow these rules at all conference venues, online or offline, as well as conference-related social events.
