All day long, every day, we will have the following activities:

  • Beverages and Snacks – There will be coffee at beverage stations all morning, and water in the back of every session room. All day you can use your soda ticket to pickup a soda for free at the snack bar. You can also use a soda ticket for $2 towards a snack instead. We have worked with the hotel to expand the selection, and to add healthy snacks. You get 3 sodas per day of your ticket, which are listed down the side of your badge. No more separate tickets to keep track of. Meals have beverages provided as part of the buffet. hD4A2B40E
  • KidzMash – Enroll your family. You don’t have to register ahead of time, but it best if you do. They have their own schedule, and you can check it out on the official CodeMash apps. Movies, waterpark time, scavenger hunt, robots, and COSI experiments. https://codemash.org/kidzmash/
  • Board game Room – Salon B&G (B and G as in Board Games). Drop in and play a game. Sponsored by Improving Enterprises. We also have Mayfair games back this year, with their giant sized versions of some of their most popular games. I expect we will see a return of the giant Catan tournament Thursday night.
  • Artemis Bridge Simulator & Lazer Tag – Salon C (C as in Captain Kirk)– Come play the best starship bridge simulator you’ve even seen. Twice the awesome this year with twice as many bridges. Take over a touchscreen station to help your team beat the scenarios. No team? No problem, just drop in. We’ll match you up. Check out the full dedicated post on Artemis and Lazer Tag.
  • Coding – Just hang out in the hallway and code. Share said code. Discuss.
  • Prayer & Quiet Room – 2nd Floor Hospitality Suite, top of the curvy steps– This year we have a dedicated room in the conference for people who need someplace for prayer time, or a quiet place to handle some personal things. Not for office/work duties. No discussions, no phone calls, etc. Please drop by at the CodeMash registration desk to get a key.
  • Mother’s Room – Are you a mother? Do you have Mother-related tasks to do that require a bit of peace, quiet, and privacy? We have just the thing! We’ve had a Mother’s Room for years, but this year it is much closer to the action. It is along the corridor, near Suite 4 of the main dining room. (If you are looking at a map, it is between the doors for Suite 4 and 5).
  • Recharge Station  – Outside Zambezi Conference Room – The use of this room varies, but it’s filled with lots of furniture. Drop in and hang out. Get recharged and refreshed. Thoughtfully provided by CoverMyMeds.
  • Open Spaces – The Grand Hall – Open spaces are available all day Thursday and Friday. See the dedicated screen in the Grand Hall, or sign up online.
  • Cabanas – Waterpark – Look for the reserved waterpark cabanas for attendees and their families. Great place to drop your gear, meet other attendees (or CodeMash families), and hang out. Cabana D is reserved all week.
  • Cost check / shuttle – You can check your coats (not your goats) at Entrance B, by the *wood rooms. That’s also where the shuttle leaves. There’s a shuttle tracker on the EventsXD app, or try Shuttle.codemash.org.
  • Special Meal Pickup – If you flagged your ticket for special meals, there is a window where you can pick up your special meals. They will have your name on a list. You are welcome to still eat off of the buffet, like a common savage, but please always check in with the special meal window people for each meal. They get lonely.
  • CodeMash Factory – The factory is in the Atrium again this year, with cool hands on type sessions. The Workshop is in Ebony, and includes all the things your mother wouldn’t let you use when you were a kid. This includes soldering irons, cutting things, banging things, and other things to break things. Eye wear is a must. If you don’t, you’ll end up with a pirate patch for eye wear, and you don’t want that. The Lab is in Empress, and includes several Hololenses (is that the right pluralization?) for you to play with augmented reality, many 3d printers, and other cool gadgets. We even have staff on hand to help you model, and print your coolest ideas. Please, no self aware drones this year.
  • Questions? We’ve got answers! Hopefully the right ones. Drop on by the main CodeMash registration booth and play stump-the-chump with us.
