(Presented by Michael Eaton) How much of the software you use on a daily basis is open source? Between tools like grunt, npm, node, Angular, your editor of choice or even the latest version of .NET, it’s probably a lot, right? How about the software you actually WRITE? How much of that is open source? In this session, we’ll explore RockLib, a .NET library that helps developers solve many of the common problems they run into. RockLib is just one of the open source projects that started from an internal Quicken Loans project. We’ll discuss the importance of open source, what types of things are candidates for open sourcing and some thoughts on getting started.
