By now you likely have heard that our speakers and sessions have been selected. You can review the full list here: https://codemash.org/accepted-session-list/. Over the next few days we will be getting the rest of the data into our site so you can review the speakers and sessions in a clearer format.
As we do each year, the content selection team had a difficult time selecting the best sessions possible while maintaining what we feel is an appropriate balance of topic areas and instruction levels. This year we had 485 people submit a total of 1,244 sessions (Precompilers, General, and KidzMash sessions). Due to space and time constraints, we can have a maximum of 246 talks leaving us with an acceptance rate of 19% – roughly 1 out of every 5 sessions submitted. This led to us having to cut sessions that we thought were good, simply because we didn’t have enough room.
We are very excited about the session lineup we have this year. As it turns out, approximately 67% of the speakers this coming year did not speak at last year’s conference. While not a specific objective, we are thrilled with the variety of content and speakers that gives us.
Ticket sales open soon… we hope you will join us!
