I develop software with Atomic Object, a consultancy in Michigan. Previously I taught Girls Who Code’s summer program, where kids with little or no previous exposure to computer science design, build, and demo their own software in a few weeks. Besides making useful software and teaching, I also love using math to model what’s going on and ask new questions. I got into machine learning when I studied computer science. I’m also into anthropology, teaching, fiction, religion, and community organizing. Some people think these are different than computer science, but for me it’s all about asking how things work and making beautiful things together.
